This policy explains how BS CLIP handles personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Account details (email, username, display name, optional avatar and home resort); content you upload (clips, thumbnails, titles, location tags); transactional data (wallet balance, purchases, payouts); and technical data (device info, IP address, app analytics).
To run the marketplace — sign-in, listings, payments, payouts, recognition alerts you opt into, fraud prevention, and customer support. We only use data for the purpose it was collected, or a closely related purpose you'd reasonably expect.
If you enable face, gear or stance recognition, we generate biometric-style embeddings from reference photos you upload. These embeddings are stored against your account, used only to match against clips you have access to, and deleted when you turn the feature off or delete your account.
Service providers strictly for delivering the app: hosting (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), payments (Stripe), email delivery, and crash analytics. We never sell your personal information.
Some providers store data outside Australia (e.g. US, EU). We take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle your data consistently with the APPs.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure — let us know immediately if you suspect a breach.
You can access, correct or delete your personal information at any time from Profile → Settings, or by emailing us. You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
We use only essential cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions and preferences. We don't use ad-tracking cookies.
